The Making of Traffic Rockstars

by Dori Friend

It does take a village to do anything these days and that has been certainly true about the production of Traffic Rockstars. We could NOT of done this alone and I am so happy to be surrounded by this crew of talent. It wasn't easy to pull all these guys together and had to promise my heart and sole to get them to commit...(well, really, just a lot of cold hard cash lol ;-)

Traffic Rockstars started as an idea on my white board as a list building strategy, but over the years and as the technology evolved, it grew into what we now have.. a ground breaking "Virtual Trade Show."

I figured, if I can make it work in "my" industry, (internet marketing) then I can make it work in other industries. So to launch this new technological and marketing platform, Ann and I decided to make Traffic Rockstars free to everyone (remember, this started as a list building strategy and I STILL want to build my list! ;-) to get the word out there and the technology seen.

Once we started down the path of producing our "show" we looked at our rolladexes and pulled in the guys we knew would work as hard as we would to make this "cool" and hopefully "techno glitch free" lol (we will see ;-)

In any case, the guys have work hard in their respective areas for us so I would like you to know more about them as individuals. :-)

Ryan Ringold

I first met Ryan back in 2004 I think. It was at an Internet Marketing seminar and I was sitting in a hotel room full of guys (Jeff Johnson being one of them) drinking beer and I heard this knock at the door.

I opened it up and low and behold were two guys (Ryan and his brother Jeff) just looking for other Internet Marketers to network with.

From that point on Ryan has been on my "favorite guys lis" because he is a genuanly a "nice guy!" Really, he is honest, noble and incredibly trustworthy. I always tell him that his parents did a great job! ;-)

But just being a nice guy wouldn't make the cut to get on our team, Ryan is also a master Internet Marketer and has made fortunes in his niches. He will be speaking on how to go after Spanish traffic which I believe is the new SEO and PPC frontier.

Stephen Smythe

Without Stephen we would of been a really plain jane tradeshow. Stephen really came through and boosted our vision with some incredible technological advancements and puts his flavor into all of our speaker presentations. He is also the one who is responsible for the very cool video introductions on the registration pagse and all the remotely produced keynote speaker presentations!

And he too is on the "nice guy list." Some times when I loose my cool, he stays so calm that I get time to take a breath and collect my composure. Thanks Stephen!

On his own, Stephen has is own multimedia production company and that is actually how I came to meet him. He produced  my last Advance SEO workshop and we have been working together every since. :-)

Jamie Markizon

No, Jamie isn't on my nice guy list lol, he is from the East Coast and with the accent and attitude that goes with it, "nice guy" just doesn't fit. ;-)

But, Jamie is one of the smartest and hard working dudes I know. He came to one of my workshops and ended up helping me teach and take care the other attendees!

THEN he gave me an "EASY" button!

Really it's one of those on the Staples commercials and he said "you want something done, just press it and I will take care of it for you." I was like "whoa, no way" but sure enough he did everything I threw at him in record time. (Well almost everything ;-) But enough for me to hound him into the ground until he would get rid of all his other clients and only work for me! :-) And he did NOT come cheap! But, is totally worth it and he does ALL my and Traffic Rockstars web/tech/outsourcing.

He has with my help and highest recommendation created "SEO Link Dog" a SEO service where he puts his outsourcing skills on overdrive for the members. So if you are looking for supercharged links coming into your websites to catapault your "organic" rankings head over to www.seolinkdog.com

Jonathan Morrit, aka JP

JP is actually Ann's nephew and has been working for her for two years learning all that she knows and he has become an expert in Social Media and thus has taken on our Social Media Marketing Campaign! Yeah JP!

But, this guy is actually training to be a CAGE FIGHTER!! "Hey JP, don't you know you can get bruised in there!?!" Well, you saw him here first! Watch out MMA!

Ann Premazon

Last but certainly not least is Ann. There is a GREAT story about how Ann and I meet, but you have to hear Ann tell it so you have to come meet us to get that one!

After our very insteresting meeting, Ann showed up at one of my workshops and proudly told me that I couldn't do what I was saying I could do (which was ranking keywords in Google MY way). LOL. Well... she ate a good helping of HUMPLE pie after I proved it to her and we have been business partners ever since.

Ann comes from the White Hat area of online business while I come from the Black Hat side so we make a good team and take the best from both worlds. She is still a goodie-two-shoes, but I am getting use to it! ;-)

Ann has a resume as long as my arm so I'm not going to list it all here, just know she is certified in about everything you can get certified in in the PPC and SEO world, and has created a great course for newbies called "BusinessWebBasics.com."

Ann and I own StarExpos, LLC which is responsible for the creation of Traffic Rockstars. And, she really plays the drums... good!

Well, it is going to be hard to brag on myself here. (not really ;-)

I've been online since 91'. My first email address was This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it which was Apple Computer's internal email system. I did a whole lot of software development for them in the 90's. If you have an old MAC, camera or printer, you have seen my work! :-) I did interface and visual design.

Here is a demo from those days. :-)

I started marketing online in 2000 and drifted into SEO in about 2002. For some reason, it fits my brain better. You know, do something, get results, do something, get results. I guess the same can be said about conversion, but believe it of not, it is more painful for me to write then to design. So, please, don't ever ask me to write a sales letter, NOT my area of expertise! Thus, the workshop is on "traffic!" lol because THAT is something I know a thing or two about. In fact I spoke at Yanik Silvers Undergound 3 and boared everyone in the room.

dori friend speaking

One lady said she thought I was speaking in tounges. lol, but that is advanced SEO for yeah. In any case, I am really looking forward to listening to my buddies give out "their" most coveted traffic strategies.

Also, because I am not a big writer, I don't tweet, that maybe stupid, but I JUST can't get into it. You CAN be my friend on facebook however. I mostly put up pictures with a comment or two and then banter back and forth in the comments. :-)
